Pruning a log

You can remove one or more entries from any log displayed in the Journal.

To prune a log:

1. Open the Journal notebook.
2. To open the log that you want to prune, use one of the following methods:
   • On the Jobs page, select an entry from the System box. Click the Pending jobs, Running jobs, or Job history push button to display one of the job logs.
   • Select the History page to view the recovery log.
   • Select Messages page to view the messages log.
   • Select the Alerts page to display the alerts log.
3. Select the entries that you want to remove.
4. Click mouse button 2 on the entries and select Remove from the pop-up menu.
