Top area of the window

The top area of the Page Fetch Pairs Statistics window shows general information about the index with which the page fetch pairs are associated.

The columns in the window show both those statistics that were gathered at the time of the explain, and those that currently exist in the system catalog tables.

Rows in the Page Fetch Pairs Statistics window

Each row shows a pair of the estimated number of page fetches for each hypothetical number of buffer pages. The following information is shown:

Explained buffer size

Buffer size values at the time the explain was done.

Explained page fetches

Page fetch values at the time the explain was done.

Current buffer size

Buffer size values that currently exist in the system catalog tables.

Current page fetches

Page fetch values that currently exist in the system catalog tables.
