If the user doesn't have any privileges on a schema,
and you want to grant the user all privileges on the schema at the same
time:
- Click on Add schema. The Add Schema
window opens.
- In the Add Schema window, select the schemas that
you want to grant privileges on.
- Click on Apply. As a result:
- The schemas you selected are listed in the Schema column on the
Schema page.
- Xs appear beside these schemas in the privileges columns. In
addition, the Privileges boxes specify No. The Xs
and Nos mean that the selected user has no privileges on the
schemas that you selected.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add additional schemas.
- Click on Cancel in the Add Schema window. The window
closes.
- In the Schema box, select one or more of the schemas that you
had selected in the Add Schema window.
- Click on Grant all. The Select Grant Option window
opens.
- Select a radio button to indicate whether you want to include the Grant
option--the right to grant a privilege to other users and to
groups--with the privileges.
- With Grant option
- Provides the Grant option with each privilege
- No Grant option
- Withholds the Grant option from each privilege
- Click on OK. If you selected With Grant
option:
- In the privileges columns, the Xs to the right of the selected schemas are
replaced by double check marks framed by corner brackets. These new
symbols mean that the grant of the privileges and Grant option is
pending.
- The Privileges boxes specify Grant.
If you selected No Grant option:
- In the privileges columns, the Xs to the right of the selected schemas are
replaced by single check marks framed by corner brackets. These new
symbols mean that the grant of the privileges, without the Grant option, is
pending.
- The Privileges boxes specify Yes.
- Click on Apply. As a sign that the privileges have been
granted, the corner brackets disappear, leaving the single or double check
marks unframed.
