Use the Create User Mappings window to create a
mapping between a user's authorization at a DB2 database and the
user's authorization at a data source.
Mapping these authorizations to one another is one of a
series of actions that you perform to work with data in a federated
database system.

To create user mappings:
- Open the Create User Mappings window.
- Populate the Selected user IDs box with local user IDs that you
want to create user mappings for. You can:
- Move user IDs from the Available local user IDs box with the
> or >> push buttons.
- Right-click inside the selected user IDs box and click Add on
the pop-up menu to open the Add User ID window and add any
user IDs that are not in the Available local user IDs
box.
- In the Remote User ID field, type the user ID that resides at
the data source.
- In the Password field, type the password used with the data
source user ID.
- In the Confirm password field, type the password for the remote
user ID again to confirm the first entry.
- Optional for OS/390: In the DRDA accounting
string field, type the name of the DRDA accounting string.
- Click OK to create the user mappings. The user mapping
objects are added to the Control Center.
