If you restore a database partition and the
back-up image that you use was taken when the database partition was enabled
for forward recovery, the database partition is in the roll-forward pending state when the restore operation
completes. It is not available for use until it is removed from this
state.

To roll forward a database partition:
- Open the Database Partitions view.
- Select the database partition that you want.
- Select Database Partitions->Roll-forward.
