Moving a source table, view, or file

Use the Move Source window to move the selected table, view, or file to another warehouse source.

The new warehouse source must match the type of object that you are moving. You must move tables and views to a database warehouse source and files to a file warehouse source.

You cannot move a source table that is used by a step in production mode.

Authorities and privileges

To move a table:

1. Open the Move Source window.

2. In the New warehouse source field, specify the name of the warehouse source that is to contain the table, view, or file by selecting the name from the list or typing the name.

3. Click OK.

   The source table is moved to the warehouse target that you specified.
