Selecting and running new steps

Use the Run New Step window to select and run one or more new steps (steps that are not listed in the Work in Progress window).

Only the following types of steps can be selected:

To select and run new steps:

  1. Open the Run New Step window.

  2. From the Available list, select the names of the step or steps that you want to run and click > to move them to the Selected list. To move all steps from the Available list to the Selected list, regardless of selection, click >>.

If you selected one or more step names in the Work in Progress window, those steps are highlighted in the Selected list of the Run New Step window. To remove steps from the Selected list, select them and click <. To remove all steps, click <<.

  1. For steps that are in test mode, if you want to extract a subset of the available rows of data, in the Row Limit field, type the number of rows to extract.

  2. Click OK to return to the Work in Progress window. The selected steps start to run immediately (and show a state of Populating). On completion, their state changes to Successful, Warning, or Failed; an error message is displayed for all steps that fail.
