Use the Process Model window to specify that a step be started when another step fails. You can specify that a step is to run only if another step fails to run successfully.
For example, suppose a step might not return any data. You can define a second step that records the date and time that a step failed. In the Process Model window, you can specify that the second step is to start only when the first step fails.
To start a step when another step fails:
Click
(the Data Link icon).
Click (the
On Failure icon).
Click the step that is to run first.
Hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse to the step that is to run after the first step.
Release the mouse button.
A red arrow that represents the task flow is displayed on the canvas between the two icons.
Click Process --> Save to save the changes that you have made to the process.
