Selecting the source for a step

Use the Process Model window to select the source for a step. You select the source for a step to specify the data that is to be transformed by the step.

To specify the source for a step:

1. Open the Process Model window.

2. Click (the Data Link icon).

3. Click (the Data Link icon) again.

4. Click the icon for the table you want to use as a source for the step.

5. Hold down the mouse button and drag the mouse to the step.

6. Release the mouse button.

   A line that represents the data link is displayed on the canvas between the two icons.

7. Click Process --> Save to save the changes that you have made to the process.
