and controlsUse the Change Target window to change the warehouse target for your step without removing the target link from the process model and adding a new link. You can change the warehouse target of any step in development or test mode that has a target table. You can make the following types of changes to the warehouse target:
Replace the existing warehouse target for the step
Add a warehouse target to a step without a warehouse target
Add a target table to the step
Remove a target table from the step
If a target table being removed is used in the SQL for the step, the Data Warehouse Center displays a warning message that the target table will be removed from the SQL.
When you change a target table, the definition of the step is modified to reflect the use of the new warehouse target and tables. Any SQL generation statements that specified the old target are deleted. To view these changes, open the SQL Step notebook.
To change the warehouse target, you must belong to a group that has access to the warehouse target.
To change or link to a target:
From the Available warehouse targets list, select the warehouse target that you want to use.
Click >. The selected warehouse target moves to the Selected warehouse targets list.
Click >> to select all the available warehouse targets.
Click OK.
The Data Warehouse Center creates a link between the warehouse target and the step in the Process Model window.
