Step
nameThe read-only columns on the Log window show information about events or errors that occurred in the Data Warehouse Center. Double-click the step name (or the empty space in the column) to obtain more details about the log record. The Log Details window opens.
Shows the name of the step that is processing. If an action is not directly related to step processing, such as logging on to the Data Warehouse Center, this column is empty.
Shows the step type for the step edition: DB2 programs, DB2 OLAP Server programs, File programs, SQL, Statistical transformers, User-defined programs, and Warehouse transformers.
Shows the name of the process that contains the step.
Shows the step edition number.
Shows the date at which the log record was written to the log.
Shows the time at which the log record was written to the log.
Shows the log message type, which identifies the event or error that occurred, as follows:

Shows the record number of the log record. The record number is a unique identifier that you can use to identify the record to IBM Software Support or other interested parties.
By default, the Log window sorts log records by this number in descending order.
Shows the TCP/IP host name of the workstation on which the request was processed.
This information can be useful when multiple instances of the Data Warehouse Center have been installed.
