Use the Locate window to search for tables, views, files, columns, and steps.
To locate an object:
In the Object type field, select the type of object to search for.
The contents of the Column box change depending upon the type of object that you select.
In the Column fields, select the attributes on which to search. The attributes that are shown correspond to the object type that you selected. You can select up to five attributes on which to search.
In the Comparison fields, select a comparison operator for each attribute that you selected in the Column fields.
In the Values fields, type a value for the column attribute that you want to find. The locate values are case sensitive.
If you want to find an object with columns that meet all the conditions that you specified using the comparison operators and that match all the values that you entered in each Values field, select Meet all conditions.
If you want to find an object with columns that meet any of the conditions that you specified using the comparison operators or any value that you entered in the Values field, select Meet any conditions.
Optional: To clear all information from each Values field, click Clear.
Click OK to search for an object. The window closes and the search begins. When the search is finished, the Locate Result window opens.
