Copying a table to another warehouse target

You can copy a target table to another warehouse target.

Authorities and privileges

To copy a table to another warehouse target:

1. Open the Data Warehouse Center.

2. Click the plus sign next to the Warehouse folder.

3. Click the plus sign next to the Warehouse Targets folder.

4. Click the plus sign next to the warehouse target that contains the table you want to copy.

5. Click the plus sign next to the Tables folder.

6. Right-click the table that you want to copy.

7. Click Copy.

   A message prompts you to save the changes you've made to the process model. The Copy Target Table window opens.

8. In the Name field, type the name that you want the copy to have.

9. In the New warehouse target field, specify the name of the warehouse target that is to contain the target table by selecting the name from the list or typing the name.

10. If you do not want the Data Warehouse Center to create a new table in the database for the new warehouse target, clear the Create new table check box. (Otherwise, when the step that uses the target table is promoted to test mode, the Data Warehouse Center will create the table in the database for the new warehouse target.)

11. Click OK.
