Copying a step
You can copy a step to another process. When you copy a step, the step and its source table (if any) are copied to the new process. You can specify that the target table be copied as well.
To copy a step:
Click the plus sign next to the Warehouse folder.
Click the plus sign next to the Administration folder.
Click the plus sign next to the Programs and Transformers folder.
Click the plus sign next to the folder for the type of the step.
If applicable, click the plus sign next to the folder for the subtype of the step.
Right-click the step that you want to copy.
Click Copy. A message prompts you to save the changes you've made to the process model. The Copy Step window opens.
In the New process field, select or type the name of the process to which you want to copy the step.
Optional: Clear the Copy target table check box if you do not want the Data Warehouse Center to create the target table for the copied step.
Optional: In the Warehouse target field, specify the name of the warehouse target in which to create the target table by typing the name or selecting the name from a list.
Click OK.
The step is copied to the process that you specified.
