Opening the rename data set or rename member window

To open the Rename Data set window:

1. From the Control Center window, expand the object tree until you find the Utility Objects folder.
   
   
2. Expand the Utility Objects folder and click the Data Sets folder. Any existing data sets are displayed in the pane on the right side of the window (the contents pane).
   
   
3. Right-click the data set that you want in the contents pane and select Rename from the pop-up menu. The Rename Data Set window opens.
   
   

To open the Rename Member window:

1. From the Control Center window, expand the object tree until you find the Utility Objects folder.
   
   
2. Expand the Utility Objects folder and click the Data Sets folder. Any existing data sets are displayed in the pane on the right side of the window (the contents pane).
   
   
3. Right-click a partitioned data set (PDS), a partitioned data set extended (PDSE) or data set of unnamed type that you want in the contents pane.
   
   
4. From the Show Data Set Members window, right-click a member and select Rename from the pop-up menu. The Rename Member window opens.
