Use the Show Monitor notebook to view monitor output.

" " List Monitored Objects

Select List Monitored Objects from the Monitor menu to open the List Monitored Objects window.

" " Pause

Select Pause from the Monitor menu to pause monitoring on the monitor shown in the Show Monitor notebook.

" " Stop

Select Stop from the Monitor menu to stop monitoring on the monitor shown in the Show Monitor notebook.

" " Save

Select Save from the Monitor menu to save the changes you have made to the monitor you are working with.

" " Save as

Select Save as from the Monitor menu to open the Save As window.

" " Reset all counters/ Reset counters

When you are monitoring an instance, select Reset all counters from the Monitor menu to reset all of the counters in all of the databases in the monitored instance.

When you are monitoring a database, select Reset counters from the Monitor menu to reset all of the counters in the monitored database.

Note:This option is only available when monitoring instances and databases.

" " Refresh

Select Refresh from the View menu to view update the data shown in the Show Monitor notebook.

" " Monitored object name

The name of the object that is being monitored appears in this field

" " Regular sample

The interval at which the sample is taken appears in this field. You can change the interval by selecting the desired interval from the drop-down list.

" " Monitor name

The name of the monitor for which information is displayed in the notebook appears in this field. To view information gathered by a different, active monitor, select that monitor from the drop down list.

" " Status

The status of the monitor appears in this field.

" " Description

The description of the monitor appears in this field.
