Use the Filter window to filter the list of displayed objects.
Column
Use the list of columns to specify which columns you want to participate in the filter operation.
A column only participates in the operation if a value (or values) is specified for it. To remove a column from the operation, delete all values from its corresponding Values field.
Comparison
Specifies the operator to be applied to the value for the column. The possible values are:
Values
Type the value to be applied to the column when the list of objects is filtered. The value is used in conjunction with the comparison, or operator, specified for the column.
For icon columns, select the appropriate icon from the drop-down list.
You can specify more than one string as the value for the In and Not in operators. Use a space to separate each value that you want to apply to a column. If you specify a text string as a value, use quotation marks to indicate embedded blanks.
The results that you receive from the value depend on the operation that you use. For example, if you specify In or Equal to, the value must either contain a string that occurs in the descriptive text associated with the object, or must exactly match the descriptive text string. If neither of these conditions is met, the value is ignored. If, however, you specify Not in or Not equal, the value cannot contain a string that occurs in the descriptive text if a successful comparison is to occur.
You can use the asterisk (*) and percent sign (%) as wild cards in the values for the In and Not in operators.
