Change Nickname -- Fields and controls

Use the Change Nickname window to change the values for a single item in the Create Nicknames window.

Use this box to change the Nickname column in the Create Nicknames window. Use one of the following methods:

• Click the down arrow to display a list of schema values and select one.
• Click the down arrow and select Custom from the drop-down list. An editable box displays. In the box, type the name or schema value that you want to assign to the schema. This name can contain up to 30 characters.

Nicknames

Use this box to change the default nickname in the Nickname column of the create nicknames window. This value will be displayed in the Nicknames column of the Create Nicknames window. Use one of the following methods:

• Click the down arrow to display a list of nicknames values and select one.
• Click the down arrow and select Custom from the drop-down list. An editable box displays. In the box, type the name or nickname value that you want to assign to the nickname. This name can contain up to 128 characters.

The values that you select in the Schema and Nickname column are the first and second level qualifier used in the two-part naming convention for a nickname.
