The actual fixed disk requirements of your install may vary depending on your file system and the components you install. Ensure that you have included a disk space allowance for your operating system, application development tools, application data, and communications products. A default install of DB2 Connect Enterprise Edition for OS/2 requires a minimum of 150 MB of disk space, which includes the documentation and the DB2 administration tools. The Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is available on the product CD-ROM.
A typical install of DB2 Connect Enterprise Edition for Windows requires a minimum of 205 MB of disk space, which includes the documentation, the DB2 administration tools, and the Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
A default install of DB2 Connect Enterprise Edition for UNIX ranges between 230-290 MB disk space, which includes documentation, the DB2 administration tools, but doesn't include a Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
Use Table 1 to estimate the amount of disk space you
need on each of your client workstations. You may require additional
amounts of disk space depending on your file system.
