This Quick Beginnings book will guide you through the planning, installation, migration (if necessary), and setup of a DB2 Connect Enterprise Edition server. You will install DB2 Connect, you will ensure that your host or AS/400 database is enabled for communications, and test its connection to the host or AS/400. Once you have established this connection, you will install a DB2 client and configure it to use DB2 Connect to communicate with the host or AS/400 database (using the Command Line Processor or DB2 GUI tools).
