This section describes the other methods you can use to install DB2 Universal Database products. Some of the advanced methods to install DB2 are detailed in this section. The DB2 Installer program can perform all of the steps described in this section.
We recommend that you use the DB2 Installer program when installing DB2, but if you prefer not to use the DB2 Installer program, you can use any one of the methods described in this chapter. See Installing DB2 Clients for information on how to install the DB2 clients.
