Tuning your SQL queries

This section summarizes some important guidelines for improving the performance of your SQL queries, and provides references to DB2 books where applicable.

It assumes that you have some previous knowledge as a database administrator or application programmer.

• Use the runstats command to provide the optimizer with current statistics
