Use the Roll-Forward page of the roll-forward notebook to specify that you
want to leave the table space or table space
partition. in the roll-forward pending
state at the end of the roll-forward
operation.
Note: | Before you can do forward recovery, the table space or table space partition
must already be in the roll-forward pending state,
and you must have the database logs.
|
Typically, table spaces exist in groups. If this is how your
database is structured, you should use the Roll-Forward
Database notebook to roll-forward the set of related table spaces or table

To leave the table space or table space partition in the roll-forward
pending state:
- Open the roll-forward notebook:
- On the Roll-Forward page, specify the point in
time to which you want to roll forward. Changes in the logs up to
and including the date and time indicated are reapplied to the table space or
table space partition.
Note: |
In a partitioned database environment, if you want to roll forward a table
space to a point in time, you must restore the table space partition at each
database partition that contains a portion of the table space, and roll
forward each table space partition individually to the same point in
time. This ensures that the table space is consistent at each
node.
|
- On the Options page, select one of the Process
while radio buttons, either Online or
Offline. Offline is the default.
- Click on OK to begin the roll-forward process.
