Viewing a sample of a table's contents

Use the Sample Contents window to view the first 200 rows of the selected table.

Fields and controls

To view a sample of the contents of a table:

1. Open the Sample Contents window.

2. View the contents of the table.

   The names of the table's columns are displayed at the top of each column in the Sample Contents window. Each column's contents are displayed below the corresponding column name. You might need to use the scroll bars to see all of the table columns.

   Note:

   If a column contains one of the following data types, its contents are not displayed: GRAPHIC, VARGRAPHIC, LONGVARGRAPHIC, BLOB, CLOB, and DBCLOB. If a column contains a distinct type based on one of the preceding data types, its contents are not displayed.

3. Click on the Close push button to close the Sample Contents window and return to the Control Center.
