Editing a workload

Use the Edit Workload window to edit an existing workload to be used by the Index SmartGuide.

Note:

The workloads are stored in the ADVISE_WORKLOAD table. You can use the normal table functions, such as import or load, to move a large number of SQL statements into this table or use the export function to move a large number of SQL statements out of this table.

To edit a workload:

1. Open the Edit Workload window.

2. Do one or more of the following steps:

   • To import other SQL statements, click the Import push button. The Import SQL Statements window opens. Press F1 or click the Help push button for instructions on how to use this window.

   • To add other SQL statements, click the Add push button. The Add SQL Statement window opens. Press F1 or click the Help push button for instructions on how to use this window.

   • To change a SQL statement in the workload, select the SQL statement and click the Change push button. The Change SQL Statement window opens. Press F1 or click the Help push button for instructions on how to use this window.

   • To remove a SQL statement in the workload, select the SQL statement and click the Remove push button. The SQL statement is removed from the workload.

3. When you have finished editing the workload, click OK to save your changes.
