Granting and revoking database authorities for users

Use the User page of the Database Authorities notebook to grant authorities to and revoke database authorities from users.

To grant users authorities:

  1. Open the Database Authorities notebook.

  2. In the User box, all users that are currently granted authorities for this database are listed. To add additional users to this list, click on Add user. The Add User window opens.

  3. Select one or more users from the User box.

  4. To grant or revoke all authorities for the selected users, click on Grant all or Revoke all.

  5. To grant or revoke individual authorities by column, use the Authorities selection boxes. Click on the down arrow and select Yes or No.

  6. When you have finished changing the authorities for users, click on Apply. DB2 processes your request.

  7. Click on Cancel to cancel the Database Authorities notebook and return to the Control Center.
