Editing a batch

Use the Edit Batch notebook to edit a test batch or an unassigned batch.

Fields and controls

To edit a batch:

1. Open the Edit Batch notebook.

2. If you want to change the description of the batch, type the new description in the Description field.

3. To add new test batch steps to the batch, use the following push buttons:

   • Import, if there are existing scripts in the Script Center that you want to import into the Satellite Administration Center and append to the batch.

   • Add, if there are existing scripts in the Satellite Administration Centerthat you want to append to the batch.

   Note:

   Only satellites that are configured as test satellites can execute test batch steps.

4. Select a test batch step and click Change to specify the execution target and success codes for the batch step.

   Repeat this step for every new test batch step. If a batch step is missing an execution target or a success code, the batch cannot be created.

5. If you decide that you do not want a particular test batch step to be part of the batch, select it and click Remove.

6. Use the Move Up and Move Down push-buttons to specify the order in which you want the test batch steps to be executed.

7. Click OK.
