How to use the Information Center controls

To find and view an item of information using the controls on each Information Center page:

  1. To choose an item, scroll down the list and select one. Some items have long descriptions that are displayed at the bottom of the window when they are selected.

  2. Once you select an item, the View push button is enabled and you can start the viewer to display the information you want.

  3. If the list of items is too long to quickly find the item, select a category from the Categories dropdown list. The list displays only the items from that category. Some items are listed in more than one category.

  4. If you know part of the title of the item, you can search the list entries by typing characters in the search field. As you type, the list scrolls to the first item containing those characters.

If more than one item matches the characters, click on the Find Next push button to move from one item to the next, or click on the Apply Filter push button to display only those items that match the search string.

The search on this panel only works on the text within the list. To do a full-text search, click the Search button.
