Import ASC File Type Modifiers

Use the Import ASC File Type Modifiers window to specify options for importing data from nondelimited ASCII (ASC) files.

Fields and controls

• Do not recognize character x'1A' as the end-of-file character (NOEOFCHAR)
• Truncate trailing blank spaces when loading into variable-length database field (STRIPTBLANKS)
• Truncate trailing nulls (0x00 characters) when loading into variable-length database field (STRIPTNULLS)
• Record length in characters
• OK
