Use the View menu to customize how the objects
are displayed in the contents pane, refresh the objects displayed in the
object tree and contents pane, display the legend for the icons in the Control
Center, open another Control Center, or open other DB2 tools.
From this menu, you can select these menu choices:
- Filter
- Opens the Filter window so that you can filter the
objects that appear in the contents pane.
- Sort
- Opens the Sort window so that you can select the
order in which objects are displayed in the contents pane. You can sort
on any column, or on multiple columns, in the contents pane (ascending or
descending).
- Customize columns
- Opens the Customize Columns window so that you can
select the order of the informational columns in the contents pane and
reorder, include, or exclude them.
- Details
- Displays details about the objects in the contents pane.
- Icon
- Displays icons in the contents pane that represent objects.
- Text
- Displays the names of the objects in the contents pane with the
icons.
- Legend
- Opens the Legend window that displays all of the
object icons available in the Control Center by icon and name.
- Control Center
- Opens a new Control Center. The new Control Center opens in a
separate window. The new object tree is identical to the first.
Displaying two Control Centers allows you to work with two or more objects
that are not easily displayed in a single object tree or contents pane.
This feature is especially useful when you want to look at the contents of two
folders at the same time.
- Command Center
- Opens the Command Center so that you can work
with database commands, their results, and access plans for
SQL queries.
- Script Center
- Opens the Script Center so that you can create and
run operating system level and DB2 command scripts.
- Journal
- Opens the Journal so that you can run, schedule,
and delete jobs and view the recovery history log, and the messages
log.
- Tools Settings
- Opens the Tools Settings notebook so that you can
customize settings and properties for the administration tools and for
replication tasks.
- Refresh
- Updates the view of the objects displayed in the object tree and contents
pane to reflect changes made.
Some of these functions are also available from the Control Center toolbar or the contents
pane toolbar.
