Display location properties

Use the Location Properties notebook to get information about a selected remote location. There are several columns in the following DB2 catalog tables that contain information and specific terms relating to a location. The Location Properties window displays information from the following catalog tables:

You can view the contents of these catalog tables directly:

  1. Click on the Catalog tables folder in the Control Center.
  2. Right-click on one of the tables in the above list.
  3. Click Sample contents from the pop-up menu.

Authorities and privileges

To view location properties:

  1. Open the Location Properties notebook.

  2. On the Location page, you can view the location name, the link name, the port number, and the transaction program name.

  3. On the LU Name page, you can view the LU name, the mode name, the Security in and Security out information, Encryption, mode selection, authorization ID translation and related generic information.

  4. On the TCP/IP page, you can view the link name, security out, authorization ID translation, and the IP address.

  5. On the LU List page, you can view a list of LU's by link name and LU name.

  6. On the LU Mode page, you can view a list of mode names and conversation limits by LU name.

  7. On the Mode Select page, you can view a list of plan names, LU names, mode names by authorization ID.

  8. Click Close to close the window.
