Displaying reports about indexes

Use the Display Index window to view a report about indexes.

To display an index report:

  1. Open the Display Index window.
  2. You can customize the report by specifying the:
  3. Click the OK button.
  4. View the report output  in the Output generated for the index spaces field.

Specifying the type of information

To specify the type of information that you want to include:

Select radio buttons under the Space information to be displayed label to specify the type of information that DB2 should include in the report.

Default displays information about the status of index spaces.

USAGE displays information about:

LOCKS displays information about : CLAIMERS displays information about: Logical page list entries displays a list of pages that cannot be referenced by applications until the pages are recovered. The page is in 'logical error' because there may be nothing wrong with the media (coupling facility or DASD) itself. Usually a connection to the media has been lost.

Specifying the type of index spaces

To specify the type of index spaces that you want to include:

Select check boxes in the Display box to limit the type of index spaces that DB2 includes in the report:

Active index spaces
Limits the display to:
Restricted index spaces
Limits the display to databases, table spaces, or indexes in a restricted status. This set includes page sets that have logical page list entries.

Specifying the number of messages returned

To specify the maximum number of messages that DB2 should return:
  1. Select the Maximum number of messages check box
  2. Specify a value in the asscoiated text field. The default value is 50.
