Create/Edit Group -- Fields and controls

Use the Create/Edit Group window to work with groups. Depending on the operation that you are performing, this notebook will open in the create or the edit mode. The available controls will depend on the operation that you are performing.

Name

Use this field to specify a name for the group. The name can have a maximum length of 18 characters.

Description

Use this field to specify a description for the group. The description can have a maximum length of 128 characters.

Authentication name

Use the fields in this box to specify the user ID that has sufficient authorization to invoke the stored procedures that access and modify the control tables at the control server:

• For User ID, specify the user ID. The user ID can be a maximum of 256 characters.

• For Password, type the password for the user ID. The password can be a maximum of 256 characters. All characters that you type are displayed as asterisks (*).

• For Confirm password, type the password again. All characters that you type are displayed as asterisks (*).
