Use the Sort window to specify how you want the contents to be sorted.

Available columns

This box displays the full list of all available columns (whether or not they are currently displayed). Use this list to select columns to add to the Sort columns list.

Note:

Icon columns cannot be sorted.

Sort columns

This box lists the columns whose values determine the sort order of the displayed object. If you specify multiple sort columns, the sort will occur according to all the specified columns. The results of the sort will depend on the order of the columns, and whether they are to be sorted in ascending or descending order.

Click on these push buttons to change the list of columns displayed in the Available columns and Sort columns boxes:

All columns displayed in the Available columns box are moved to the Sort columns box.

Selected columns in the Available columns box are moved to the Sort columns box.

<

Selected columns in the Sort columns box are moved to the Available columns box.

<<

All columns in the Sort columns box are moved to the Available columns box.

Ascending and Descending

Use these push buttons to specify whether the values for the selected column is sorted by ascending or descending order:

Ascending

Sorts the selected column in the Sort columns box in ascending order.

Descending

Sorts the selected column in the Sort columns box in descending order.

Up or Down

Use these push buttons to change the order of the sort columns:

Moves the selected column in the Sort columns box one position higher in the list.

Moves the selected column in the Sort columns box one position lower in the list.
