The Information Center uses these controls, most of which are on each page:
Select a category from this dropdown list to reduce the number of items that are displayed in the main list box. The first entry in each dropdown list always displays all the items, or you can use the Show All pushbutton to display the full list.
List of items
Opens a web browser to view the selected item, when you:
To return to the Information Center after reading the information, minimize or close the viewer. You might find it faster to leave the browser open all the time when using the Information Center.
Locates items in the list that contain a particular string. As you type, the list scrolls to show you the first item that matches the string. You can then use the Find Next and Apply Filter pushbuttons to locate the all the items that match the string. The Information Center only searches through the text of the items in the list box. To perform a full-text search, click the Search button.
Scrolls the list box to the next item that contains the search text, when you have entered text into the search field.
Removes items from the list box, leaving only those that contain the search text, when you have entered text into the search entry field.
Shows all the items in the list, restoring any that have been hidden.
Launches the viewer associated with the information for the item you have selected from the list box. The viewer is typically a web browser.
Close
Closes the Information Center notebook.
