The first thing to be done is to ensure that you have installed one or more additional processors in your machine. To allow the DB2 database manager to take advantage of the new processors, there are configuration parameters that should be reviewed and perhaps updated. (Some operating systems, like Solaris, can dynamically vary processors on- and off-line.) The parameters that are used to determine the number of processors used and may need to be updated include:
