5When using OS authentication on AIX, DB2 UDB will attempt to report a 5successful login to AIX upon successful authentication during a 5connect. Prior to Version 8 FixPak 5, if DB2 UDB was unable to report a 5successful login, the connection would fail despite the user being 5authenticated. Starting with Version 8 FixPak 5, the connection is 5allowed to continue and the failure will be logged in the 5db2diag.log file.
