Version information

1The most up-to-date documentation is available in the latest 1version of the DB2 Information Center, which is accessed through a browser. 1 The URL for downloading the latest documentation is provided in the Additional 1resources section that follows this section.

1Revision marks in the DB2 Information Center documentation indicate 1text that has been added or changed since the PDF information for version 18.1 was originally made available. A vertical bar (|) indicates information 1that was added at the time that version 8.1 was first released. A numeric 1indicator, such as a 1 or a 2, indicates that the information was added for 1the FixPak or level ending in the same number. Examples:

1
6 6Directory paths 6

Windows(R) systems use backslashes (\) to delimit directories in a directory 6path. UNIX(R) and Linux systems use forward slashes (/) as delimiters. The Release 6Notes follow this convention when the information is platform specific. However, 6when the information is platform independent, you might need to enter the 6directory path differently than shown. For example, if you have a Windows 6system, you must enter the directory path using backslashes (\) if the Release 6Notes show forward slashes (/). Conversely, if you have a UNIX or Linux system, 6you must enter the directory path using forward slashes (/) if the Release 6Notes show backslashes (\).
