Release Notes
|DB2 Stored Procedure Builder now supports building Java stored procedures
|for DB2 for OS/390 Version 6 and Version 7.
|Requirements:
|
- |Before you begin, you need to perform a number of setup tasks on DB2 for
|OS/390. Go to
|http://www.ibm.com/software/data/db2/os390/sqlproc for
|information.
- |If you intend to use the distributed debugger, your WLM address space on
|OS/390 must specify RUNOPTS for TEST and your TCP/IP address.
- |The Collection ID must match the one used when binding the JDBC driver on
|OS/390.
- |Modify the DB2SPB.ini file to include the following entries:
|SPOPTION_WLM_JAVA_ENVIRONMENT = WLMENVJ
|SPOPTION_JAVAPROC_BUILDER = SYSPROC.DSNTJSPP
|SPOPTION_BIND_OPTIONS_JAVA = ACT(REP)
|SPOPTION_COLLIDJ = DSNJDBC
|SPOPTION_HPJ_COMPILE_OPTIONS_DEBUG = -g
|SPOPTION_HPJ_COMPILE_OPTIONS = -nog -O
- |For information on the required privileges, see 40.6.6.1, Privileges for building and debugging SQL and Java stored procedures.
|
|To create a Java stored procedure for OS/390 using Stored Procedure
|Builder:
|
- |Open the Inserting Java Stored Procedure wizard:
|
- |Under an OS/390 database connection in the project tree, right-click the
|stored procedures folder.
- |Select Insert -> Java Stored Procedure Using
|Wizard. The wizard opens.
|
- |Complete the wizard, specifying the OS/390 options:
|
- |The Collection ID must match what was specified on the BIND
|PACKAGE(collid) when the JDBC drivers were bound on OS/390.
- |The Java Package must be unique. The default for the Java Package
|is the procedure name, but you can modify this by using a unique name for each
|Java stored procedure created on the server.
|
- |Click OK. The stored procedure is created and listed in
|the project tree.
- |Right-click the stored procedure and select Build.
