If, on a DLFM client, dlfm client_conf fails for some reason, "stale" entries in DB2 catalogs may be the reason. The solution is to issue the following commands:
db2 uncatalog db <dbname> db2 uncatalog node <node alias> db2 terminate
Then try dlfm client_conf again.
