|This section describes how DB2 and MQSeries can be used to construct |applications that combine messaging and database access. The focus in |this section will be a set of functions, similar to User-Defined Functions |(UDFs), that may be optionally enabled in DB2 Universal Database, Version |7.2. Using these basic functions, it is possible to support a |wide range of applications, from simple event notification to data |warehousing.
