Release Notes
DB2 Stored Procedure Builder now supports building Java stored procedures
for OS/390.
Requirements:
- Before you begin, you need to perform a number of setup tasks on DB2 for
OS/390. Go to http://www-4.ibm.com/software/data/db2/os390/sqlproc
for information.
- If you intend to use the distributed debugger, your WLM address space on
OS/390 must specify RUNOPTS for TEST and your TCP/IP address.
- The Collection ID must match the one used when binding the JDBC driver on
OS/390.
- Modify the DB2SPB.ini file to include the following entries:
SPOPTION_WLM_JAVA_ENVIRONMENT = WLMENVJ
SPOPTION_JAVAPROC_BUILDER = SYSPROC.DSNTJSPP
SPOPTION_BIND_OPTIONS_JAVA = ACT(REP)
SPOPTION_COLLIDJ = DSNJDBC
SPOPTION_HPJ_COMPILE_OPTIONS_DEBUG = -g
SPOPTION_HPJ_COMPILE_OPTIONS = -nog -O
To create a Java stored procedure for OS/390 using Stored Procedure
Builder:

stored procedures folder.
- Select Insert -> Java Stored Procedure Using
Wizard. The wizard opens.
- Complete the wizard, specifying the OS/390 options:
- The Collection ID must match what was specified on the BIND
PACKAGE(collid) when the JDBC drivers were bound on OS/390.
- The Java Package must be unique.
- Click OK. The stored procedure is created and listed in
the project tree.
- Right-click the stored procedure and select Build.
