39.2 Linux on S/390 and zSeries Support

DB2 for Linux on S/390 and zSeries supports the following operating system environments:

• SuSE v7.0
• SuSE SLES 7
• TurboLinux v6.1

Note:

To run DB2 Version 7 on SuSE SLES 7, you need to install the libstdc++ v6.1 compat RPM, which is on CD 1 of the SuSE Linux Enterprise Server Developer's Edition CD set, in the path "CD1/suse/a1/compat.rpm". This must be done as root. To install the RPM, mount the CD image to a directory. For example, to mount it to directory /mnt, install the RPM with this command:

   rpm -Uh /mnt/CD1/suse/a1/compat.rpm

and run ldconfig afterwards.
