|39.2 Linux on S/390 and zSeries Support

|DB2 for Linux on S/390 and zSeries supports the following operating system |environments: |

• |SuSE v7.0
• |SuSE SLES 7
• |TurboLinux v6.1 |

|Note:

To run DB2 Version 7 on SuSE SLES 7, you need to install the libstdc++ |v6.1 compat RPM, which is on CD 1 of the SuSE Linux Enterprise Server |Developer's Edition CD set, in the path |"CD1/suse/a1/compat.rpm". This must be done as root. To |install the RPM, mount the CD image to a directory. For example, to |mount it to directory /mnt, install the RPM with this command:

|   rpm -Uh /mnt/CD1/suse/a1/compat.rpm

|and run ldconfig afterwards. |
