Structure

3The release notes are divided into four parts: 3

• 3The first part highlights what is new in this release.
• 3The second part contains the details of the problems, limitations, and 3workarounds known at the time of publication that affect the products 3previously listed. Read these notes to become familiar with any known 3outstanding issues with this release of the DB2 family of products.
• 3The third part contains corrections to previously released HTML, PDF, and 3printed documentation.
• 3The fourth part contains corrections and updates to the information 3available in the product GUI tools help. 3

1The most up-to-date documentation is available in the latest version 1of the DB2 Information Center, which is accessed through a browser. The 1URL for downloading the latest documentation is provided in the Additional 1resources section below. Full instructions for downloading and 1installing the documentation are provided in the appendix.

1Revision marks in the DB2 Information Center documentation indicate 1text that has been added or changed since the PDF information for version 18.1 was originally made available. A vertical bar (|) indicates 1information that was added at the time that version 8.1 was first 1released. A numeric indicator, such as a 1 or a 2, indicates that the 1information was added for the FixPak or level ending in the same 1number. For example, a 1 indicates that the information was added or 1changed in FixPak 1, a 2 indicates that the information was changed for 1Version 8.1.2.

1The Data Links Manager Administration Guide and Reference 1was updated in PDF form (book number SC27-1221-01) at the time of FixPak 1, 1and is available for download at the DB2 support site.

PDF documentation is updated less frequently.
