DataGuide for Windows

DataGuide provides client/server information catalogs on a LAN for
users to share and reuse business information in an organization.
DataGuide for Windows User provides search and browse capability, and
can launch applications to view information quickly.  DataGuide
Administrator provides extractors to gather information descriptions
from many sources, including DBMSs and desktop tools, to populate
DataGuide information catalogs.

DataGuide for Windows User enables you to:

O Utilize an easy-to-use icon interface

O Launch Windows and DOS applications directly from DataGuide
for Windows.

O Share the same information catalogs with other DataGuide
users across a LAN.

DataGuide:

Start your DataGuide journey with a DataGuide Starter Package, which
includes one DataGuide Administrator and four Users of the same type:
OS/2, Windows, or Lotus Notes.  Later, you can add different types of
Users to your starter package.  You can purchase User licenses for
each of the three platforms in quantities of 10 or 50.

DataGuide for OS/2 is also known as DataGuide/2, and DataGuide
Administrator also known as DataGuide/2 Administrator

DataGuide for Windows technical information

Hardware requirements

DataGuide for Windows User runs on any workstation that supports
Windows 3.1 with the following minimum configuration:

O 386 20MHz processor
O VGA, 8514/A, or XGA display adapter, or equivalent
O 8 MB of memory

DataGuide for Windows uses 2.5 MB of hard disk

Software requirements

O Microsoft Windows 3.1
O Database 2 Client Application Enabler/DOS Version 1.2

LAN server/requester software such as the DOS LAN Server/Requester is
required for code sharing.
