                WinNT workstation).

 JR13712      3270 emulator freezes after receiving first screen on 
              clients using Win32 version of Communications Server for

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:                                              
                                                                        
JR13712.EXE is a self-extracting file containing the shipped executables.                             
                                                                        
   The PARTS LIST is as follows:

   where "c:\csntapi" is the directory where the Communications Server SNA
   API Client is installed on the machine running Windows 
                                                                         
   Installing the fix on the system:                                     
                                                                         
      1) Be SURE you have downloaded the JR13712.exe file in BINARY format.    
                                                                
      2) Create a temporary directory, copy JR13712.exe into the temporary       
         directory, and run the file to uncompress it.                    
                                                                         
      3) On the machine where the Communications Server SNA API Client software 
         is installed, stop any applications which use the SNA API client such 
         as terminal emulators, database connection software, etc.                          
                                                                         
      4) To back up your existing version of LUX.DLL on the SNA API client 
         machine, rename it using the REN command. For example, 
         "ren LUX.DLL *.*.preJR13712". 
                                                                         
      5) Copy the new LUX.DLL from the temporary directory to the SNA API
         Client directory to take the place of the old file. 
                                                                         
      6) Shutdown and Restart the client machine.                  
                                                                         
      7) Restart your applications that use the SNA API client.
