This ³ ³ package can be distributed to any one who has a license for ³ ³ this product. ³ ³ ³ +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ PREREQUISITES : IBM Communications Server for Windows NT version 6.0.2. CO-REQUISITES : APAR JR13703 PROBLEMS FIXED: APAR Number Description JR13456 Allow null Destination Address for Connection definitions. Allows LAN Connection definitions to be defined with a null Destination Address. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: JR13456.EXE is a self-extracting file containing the shipped executables. The PARTS LIST is as follows: SHIPPED (fn ft) REPLACES ocdconvt.dll c:\ibmcs\ocdconvt.dll ocdnts50.dat c:\ibmcs\ocdnts50.dat pcscapi.dll c:\ibmcs\pcscapi.dll pcscfg.exe c:\ibmcs\pcscfg.exe JR13456.txt (this readme file) where c:\ibmcs is the directory where IBM Communications Server for Windows NT is installed. Installing the fix on the system: 1) Be SURE you have downloaded the JR13456.exe file in BINARY format. Also make sure you have installed APAR fix JR13703 or equivalent, or that you will be installing that fix after installing JR13456 and before starting the Communications Server node. 2) Create a temporary directory, copy JR13456.exe into the temporary directory, and run the file to uncompress it. 3) Stop Communications Server for Windows NT (including your node, Node Operations, Node Configuration, Log Viewer, and any other CS/NT components you have started). Note that there may still be CS/NT-related services running on the machine after stopping these applications, but this is normal and will not affect the installation of this fix package. 4) To back up your existing versions of the files listed in the REPLACES section of the above parts list, rename them using the ren command. For example, "ren PCSCFG.EXE *.*.preJR13456". 5) Copy the new files from the temporary directory to the appropriate directory to take the place of the old files. Note: Before copying, first stop AppnNode service using Windows NT 'Control Panel', 'Services'; Then stop the rapiserver.exe, PCS_AGNT.EXE processes from Windows NT Task Manager. 6) Shutdown and Restart the CS/NT server machine. 7) Restart your CS/NT node. Instructions for implementing this fix: This fix allows you to configure, using the node configuration GUI, a null Destination Address for a LAN Connection when either an adj_cp_name or adj_node_id is specified. When a connection is configured in this manner it allows the node to match it with an incoming connection request by adj_cp_name or adj_node_id during XID negotiation if the connections can't be matched by destination address at CONNECT_IN time.
