To install this PTF, see below the section INSTALLATION AND SETUP. 2.0 CONTENTS OF THIS PTF (1) On Solaris OS, IM Scoring installation generates error messages regarding libdb2.so.1. 3.0 INSTALLATION AND SETUP 3.1 Prerequisites You must have installed the IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Modeling Version 8.1. Error messages regarding libdb2.so.1 can be ignored. 3.2 Installing IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Scoring Version 8.1 PTF IP226687 on Solaris OS. To install the PTF on Solaris OS, follow these steps: * download all files into a directory * extract the files from IP22668.tar.gz: gunzip IP22668.tar.gz tar xvf IP22668.tar * log on as 'root' * run the script sunInstallPTF 4.0 PROBLEMS FIXED BY THIS PTF On Solaris OS, IM Scoring installation generates error messages about libdb2.so.1. When running IM Scoring with DB2 V8.1 or higher, IM Scoring might not refer to the correct DB2 libraries. This might show during installation, when /opt/IMinerX/bin/idmlicm is executed: A respective error message informing the user that libdb2.so.1 could not be found will appear. When running IM Scoring with Oracle, IM Scoring and the Conversion Utilities might require DB2 libraries. To over come this problem, install the PTF package like described in section INSTALLATION AND SETUP. 5.0 DEINSTALLATION OF THIS PTF Deinstallation is not supported. 6.0 Notices This information was developed for products and services offered in the U.S.A.
