IBM Corporation March 2003 _____________________________________________________________ This is the readme file for PTF IP22640: IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Modeling V8.1 PTF IP22640 IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Scoring V8.1 PTF IP22640 IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Visualization V8.1 PTF IP22640 IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner for Data V8.1 PTF IP22640 _____________________________________________________________ CONTENTS ________ This file includes the following information: 1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE 2.0 CONTENTS OF THE PTF 3.0 NOTICES 3.1 Trademarks and service marks 1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE PTF IP22640 contains the same fix for the following products: - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Modeling V8.1 - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Scoring V8.1 - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Visualization V8.1 - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner for Data V8.1 Therefore this readme file applies to all of these products. To install the PTF, see the following section 2.0 CONTENTS OF THE PTF. 2.0 CONTENTS OF THE PTF The PTF addresses the following problem: The following products cannot be installed on the Windows Server 2003: - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Scoring V8.1 - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Modeling V8.1 - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Visualization V8.1 - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner for Data V8.1 Details and Installation: You can install each of the following products on Windows operating systems by running the appropriate file "setup.exe": - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Scoring V8.1 - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Modeling V8.1 - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner Visualization V8.1 - IBM DB2 Intelligent Miner for Data V8.1 Each of the "setup.exe" files contains the complete product. When you run one of these "setup.exe" files on a Windows Server 2003, the installation is canceled by the Windows installer because of an internal error. Other supported Windows operating systems (Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP) are not affected. To correct the problem, there is the executable file IP22640.exe. It makes the necessary modifications to the appropriate setup.exe files. To change one of the setup.exe files, copy the files setup.exe and IP22640.exe into the same temporary directory on your hard disk, for example, c:\temp, and run the executable file IP22640.exe. The file IP22640 modifies the file setup.exe. Now you can run the modified file setup.exe to perform the installation. For a short description about how to use the program, you can issue the following command: IP22640.exe /? This patch does not create a setup.exe file that is working only on the Windows Server 2003. Therefore you can also use the modified file setup.exe to install the product on the other supported Windows operating systems. 3.0 Notices This information was developed for products and services offered in the U.S.A.
